Eligibility
Candicates for admission to the first year BDS degree course should have passed the Higher Secondary (academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks(40% marks for SC/OBC/MBC) in the following subjects: Biology(Botany&Zoology), Physics and Chemistry and English is essential as a subject.

Age limit
The candidate should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2011. However, no upper age limit has been prescribed.

Duration
The duration of the course is 5 years, including one year of Compulsory Rotary Residential Internship(C.R.R.I), leading to award of the .B.D.S degree by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University.

Syllabus
The syllabus is as prescribed by the Dentall Council of India and Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University.
